Thank you all for your support...it's encouraging to see both the local community and visitors to our beautiful area ensuring their voices are heard! I have a site meeting tomorrow morning at 8am with North Sydney Council representatives & the project architect. I will ensure all concerns that have been raised are communicated; and this petition will be handed to all present (as well as a link emailed through to those named on the petition). My aim at this stage is to delay the project until satisfactory community consultation has been undertaken; ensure the community has input into the proposed design; and ensure an area of historic and environmental significance is not destroyed in the process of any works. Surveyors have started work today, marking out the new stair layout with spray paint. This is despite the only form of official notice (signs on the stairs) stating works are due to commence next Monday, 15th January. Please continue to sign & share if this issue is important to you!
