The Public Inquiry is over. We’re all celebrating and can hardly believe it: WE DID IT!!!

We’ve just got the Planning Inspector’s verdict and he’s REFUSED permission for Buccleuch Estates to build five warehouses and a factory at Weekley Hall Wood and Meadow.

We are overjoyed by the result!

We want to thank the thousands of people who signed the petition about this development, and who gave so generously of their time, energy and money to support us. The way the community has worked together has been wonderful to see. There is still a chance that Buccleuch Estates will appeal this and take it to the high court, so we’re going to need some legal advice on what to do if that happens.

But this is a HUGE achievement. You did this; you spoke up for nature and helped save Weekley Hall Wood and Meadow for future generations. Thank you one and all.

Watch out for members of the team in the media over the next couple of days. We've heard from ITV Anglia and the BBC - we'll be on Radio Northampton between 7-8am tomorrow (Tuesday)! Here is the first article from the Northants Telegraph reacting to the news: https://www.northantstelegraph.co.uk/news/politics/david-beats-goliath-as-campaigners-win-fight-against-kettering-warehouse-park-plan-4470577

We've been busy editing the public speeches from the planning inquiry and uploading them to our YouTube, Facebook and Instagram - they are quite something to behold and they obviously made a big impact on the Inspector!

Sing it from the rooftops: Wildlife NOT warehouses!
