As many people have recently seen a lot of women feel uncomfortable at night time. It does beg the question as to why there are no lights in our biggest park in the area. Many people I know avoid the park at night time due to an eerie feel and just the fear of what’s in the darkness. I believe that lighting up country park and placing CCTV in main walkways would be a suitable solution to this. 

Even as a male I still get a little freaked walking or biking through the park alone on a night time, and no wonder people try to avoid the place entirely even if it adds time to their journey. You always have a feeling that someone is watching or is lurking ahead. 

To conclude I would like you to sign this petition to show the council that lighting up the park would be a great thing for people in the community especially when it will be taxpayers' money well spent. Keep people safe and keep people comfortable.
