Hold North County High School Football Team Accountable For The Rapes/ Sexual Assaults.

The Issue

North County High School in Glen Burnie, MD is not fulfilling their promise to keep their students safe. Many students have came forward with their sexual assault stories. Victims of sexual assault attending North County High School have reached out over the past two years to the principle Mr. Eric Jefferson, staff and authorities and have received no help. Students and Parents have also reached out to The Anne Arundel County School Board and they ignored the issue. Many victims have made police reports in order to get some justice and Anne Arundel Police Department chose to disregard our cries for help. In November of 2020 about 10 girls spoke out on Twitter about Samuel Graham sexually assaulting and/or raping them. Many went to the school hoping the school would give consequences considering that some happened on school grounds. However, North County swept it under the rug and let Sam continue to play football. In March of 2021 over 30 students attending or graduated from North County High School came out with their stories of sexual assault on behalf of the football team due to the nation wide movement. Victims felt comfortable using their platform on social media to speak up about the traumatic events they went under. After posting the students choosing to speak up about the football players abuse received multiple death threats, attacks and fake pages made about them. We reported these accounts to North County seeking help, Staff identified them but refused to inform us on who these people were and protected them. Several students from schools across AACPS emailed North County in order to get justice. North County High School chose to sweep it under the rug once again. They continued to let their football team get away with these crimes. Numerous girls made police reports about the following football players Samuel Graham, Demario Mitchell and Sean Aingworth. Anne Arundel County Police Department took no notice of us seeking our well deserved justice. Many members of the North County Football Team have harassed girls senselessly. They are the following James Roberts, [REDACTED], Daniel, Makkai and Amari. The North County Football coach, Quinton Jones, a role model for students at North County, was found following countless teenage girls on social media. Since then he has made his account private but has not received any consequences. Students have overheard conversations with his co worker and/or football team members talking inappropriately about minors bodies. On October 10th, Demario Mitchell and his friend Daniel added victims to a FaceTime call, threating to beat up one of the victim boyfriends and joking about rape. On October 11th, got into a physical altercation with the victim's boyfriend, Ivan May. North County suspended Ivan for 10 days while Demario got 1 day due to the upcoming football game he had to play on that Friday. Mother of Demariohas called these victims disgusting name such as "whores". As you can tell North County High School has done nothing but keep quiet while these victims have to suffer. Principle Eric Jefferson has done nothing but blame the female students for what has happened to them. He says 'Maybe if you didn't put yourself in that situation it would have never taken place'. Also brings up other situations to turn a blind eye to what is really happening. As far as my knowledge no action has taken place and/or no one has taken accountability for said actions. Please help these girls get the well deserved justice they earn and stop this behavior. it's time to hold them accountable, it's time to stop looking past these situations. #enoughisenough
