As many of you have heard, Dr. Pardue (Flick) has been removed from her position at NC State without any warning. Dr. Pardue had a pivotal role at NC State - being in charge of Pre-Health Committee and its interest groups, leading the Review Committee, teaching Bio 105 for non science majors, and many other things. Dr. Pardue has worked for twelve years making NC State renowned for it's PreHealth students, and all of that hard work is about to be over. The administration simply does not understand all that Dr. Pardue did for us students, and it is us students who will suffer if something is not done. With the loss of Dr. Pardue, we could lose all Pre-Health Clubs and interest groups, as well as the entire review committee. This will impact every single student who is applying to any pre-professional school (Medical, Dental, PA, Nursing, Optometry, etc). NC State is known by many pre-professional schools for the caliber of our review committee and the students that we send to these schools. This is a reputation that Dr. Pardue has worked hard to build, and we want to maintain that reputation. The removal of Dr. Pardue from her position is a complete disservice to us students and a dishonor to Dr. Pardue who has helped so many of us get into the pre-professional school of our dreams!
