There has been a bill just introduced during a short session which could make medical cannabis accessible to terminally and chronically ill. If passed it would take effect in July 2016. House Bill 983 was introduced by Kelly Alexander, after many rallies, pill bottle drops, and protest across the state. Cannabis is one of the safest methods to treat many illnesses-including effects from Cancer, Crohn's disease, and PTSD for our Veterans. Let our representatives know that denying medicine to chronically ill people is inhumane, and morally wrong. The bill would tax cannabis, bringing in revenue to the state that has been lost over the disaster bill HB2.
