Petitioning the Marine Fisheries Commission is now a moot point, since the majority voted to shut down North Carolina trawling and take fresh, wild-caught shrimp off our tables. Now, your signatures and letters will go to North Carolina Legislators, in hopes our state's government won't let this happen to our local citizens and visitors. We can't let special interest groups dictate how our government works. Moreover, we can't let these special interest groups take away our coastal livelihood and access to fresh, local seafood.
