It is past time to have the minimal care laws changed in the State of North Carolina! Please refer to the links above and excuse the language in the video. This is in Ashe County - Lansing, NC and the owner of these dogs has been cited but does what is considered "minimal care" in the state of NC to get by. The dogs are living with minimal shelter and one is chained 24/7. Who knows what type of vet care, food or water these animals receive! The roosters are in the front row of the video and per residents in this small town ... owner has been charged with Cock Fighting in the past.
These dogs are seven Beagles and one Pit Bull per articles written about this. The woman that took the video was arrested for trespassing and jailed. She was not on this mans property but was taking the video from the street per her postings.
There were over 650 dogs seized recently in NC near Fayetteville in similar conditions. Animal Control and the Sheriff need to step up and do the right thing! This situation is unhealthy for the dogs, roosters and the general public.
Please contact Governor Mccrory's office and let you voice be heard! It is horrid that any animal be kept in this type of environment and without the laws being changed ... it will continue over and over again!
We all need to work together to get these animals into a rescue and make sure that this person cannot ever do this again!
This has been going on for eight years! There used to be Pit Bulls and now Beagles and why does this person own Roosters!
