I am a local resident inside the city limits of Goldsboro, NC. I live within a 5 minute walk of Kings Discount Deli, LLC located at 1601 E. Ash St. Goldsboro, NC 27530. I object to the issuance of an ABC Permit to sell alcohol at this location. This business is generating foot traffic/pedestrians in the neighborhood during both day and nighttime hours. I am a Criminal Magistrate in Wayne County, and I have recognized a lot of these pedestrians as suspected criminals that I have jailed. The sale of alcohol will cause people to loiter in the area/neighborhood. Since the store has been closed (the last several months), I have noticed a drastic reduction in loitering, littering and foot traffic in the area. Please revoke the alcohol permit at this location.
