North Ayrshire Council are planning on closing public toilets on the Isle of Cumbrae. The Island is dependent on tourism. At present the public toilets on the Island are in very poor condition, largely due to neglect from the council. Public toilets are a basic facility in an area largely dependent on tourism, in particular day trippers, businesses have to bear the cost of having their facilities used by non-customers and visitors are frustrated by the lack of facilities.The Isle of Cumbrae is a beautiful haven much loved by generations of visitors from the West of Scotland and beyond. Please sign this petiton to persuade North Ayrshire Council to retain and to upgrade public toilets on the Island.
