Everyday, dogs are left tethered by ropes and chains 24/7. Left alone, they are scared and lonely. This is dangerous and cruel to the animal. Our local rescues get the honor of seeing these mistreated dogs in the shelters when they are left behind or finally taken from the owners after,sometimes, years of unjust punishment. The dogs left on chains tend to become very territorial of the areas they are chained to. This presents a safety issue to the dog and to the public.Many cities have already put no chain or tether laws into place and they are quite successful.
