Norma’s welfare is more valuable than dogs. Harris Co Pets needs to take responsibility

Norma’s welfare is more valuable than dogs. Harris Co Pets needs to take responsibility
The Issue
Norma Herrera rescued a litter of six mix Labs earlier this year in March that were two months old at the time. The puppies are fully vetted and were taking heart worm and flea meds up until May 27. Norma has had a series of health issues that prevents her from continuing to take care of the dogs that are now eleven months old. It was never her intention to keep them permanently. Norma has checked with family, friends, social media and at places of businesses but unfortunately no one has showed interest in taking any of the dogs. Norma has depleted her savings by having to create a make shift shelter at her residence and making repairs from the destruction the six pack litter of dogs that are now an average of 50 pounds. Norma has called numerous times to Harris County Pets to make an appointment to surrender the dogs and being told they are full for thirty days out. Harris County Pets at 612 Canino Rd, Houston Tx 77076 needs to take responsibility and accept stray pets that need to be surrendered due to extenuating circumstances. Please sign the petition to help Norma Herrera in Harris County to get relief from having to be the responsible party for which Harris County Pets should be. Norma’s well being is at stake and immediate relief of having to continue to handle these dogs, is necessary to prevent compromising her physical and mental health. Thank you.
