We are requesting to pause the Southern Company/Virginia Natural Gas Southside Connector [Transmission] Line Project and ask for immediate suspension of work until safety measures are addressed.

1. Drop the operating pressure to no greater than 150 psi when passing through local neighborhoods in Chesapeake, Berkley, Colonna's Shipyard, Harbor Park, and St. Paul's Quadrant.

2. Install isolation and emergency shutoff valves in close intervals.

3. Show a copy of Norfolk's emergency action plan associated with natural gas explosions. What are the plans to adequately prepare and train fire and rescue personnel?

4. To improve safety, adjust pipeline location and bury the pipe deeper in order to lessen the risk and damage of accidents.
