The loyal fans of the Norfolk admirals ECHL franchise have recently had a change that for most was an unwanted one.

Our goal song which brought energy to each game with our "hey you suck" chant that all fans knew and appreciated Has been changed since the new management took over. As a fan that has been attending games for many years I along with many others have grown accustomed to the old goal song, so when I went to a game earlier this season I was incredibly surprised that our song had been changed. 

It is understood that the new "anchors aweigh" goal song has roots in the community since Norfolk is know around the country as a large port city with our naval ship yard that is one of the biggest employers. The song makes sense in relation to the area but when someone things of a goal song for a hockey team most imagine a song that makes the crowd go crazy and energizes the team. 

If you are one of these fans I encourage you to support this petition and hopefully help to change the song back to our beloved "hey you suck"
