You may have thought that St Barbara failing to submit required information to the  Impact Assessment Agency of Canada, allowing the regulator to terminate its evaluation of the proposed mine last year was the end for the Cochrane Hill project.

Sadly I believe that to be a wrong assumption.

St Barbara Managing Director and CEO Andrew Strelein stated in an Aug. 15 2023 press release.

“The Company’s Atlantic Province Plan was built on the concept of having a central gold recovery facility at Touquoy where the final gold recovery step would take place for nearby projects."

What could this mean for Cochrane Hill?

Well, while the company is in the middle of a robust new drilling program on Cochrane Hill highlighting pictures of shinny gold they found to investors and once again touting the misplaced lure of jobs to folks during poor economic times I believe we need to start paying attention once again. As of late St Barbara has been running propaganda and promotional adds on Nova Scotia's radio stations and television networks building up and promoting its new business plans.

I think its safe for us to begin preparing for another round of large scale gold mine Industry aggression from St. Barbara here in Nova Scotia.

I want you all to know that we are still here watching and our messaging is clear, St. Barbara you are not welcome in Nova Scotia!
