Michael Christopher Blocker waited in Richmond County Georgia jail for a year to clear his name. From January 2007 to January 2008. Finally, January 14, 2008- Michael's trial begins. It continues into January 15, 2008. Apparently, Ashley Wright and Danny Craig have promotions lined up on January 17th 2008 and the trial is going too long. The Augusta judicial branch knew they were going for capital punishment (LWOP) - nothing less; however, they got desperate with the timing for their appointments by Governor Perdue. They decided to convince an overmedicated defendent to sign for 20 years for burglary knowing they were going to alter the documents after his signature.  Michael, under duress of three public defenders and overmedication, is sentenced to life without parole without a trial verdict. The trial was already in play. Why cut it short on the 16th? Except the prosecutors were going to miss their scheduled promotions on the 17th.

Even the arrest date in case management show 2008 for rape and kidnap versus 2007 for burglary. 

If the Augusta Judicial and the recently separated Columbia County Judicial circuits have nothing to hide, then publish the two full days of trial transcripts. Mr. Blocker needs trial transcripts to appeal this miscarriage of Justice. He has been asking for THIRTEEN years. Capital punishment costs the family. Nothing is free. The family is motivated to get Michael released so that he can earn his own living.

Capital punishment associated with a guilty plea is INSANE, illegal, unjust, greedy, corrupt, and outright unethical.

Augusta Georgia , Richmond County, Columbia County (where Blanchard Jr is headquartered) should be ashamed.
