Since I've had some extra time on my hands for going on TWO weeks (a story in itself), I drove down to the CSRA.
In the Richmond County courthouse, judges Ashley Wright and Danny Craig are in a secured access area on the fourth (top) floor. The DA office is on the second floor. Just a phone and elevator ride from each other. I digress.
Meanwhile, in Columbia County, Judge Blanchard Jr office is very secure as well. No appointment means no answers.
Court Reporter for Blanchard Jr.'s office called me and said Richmond County court reporter was to mail or email out a response surrounding Michael's trial transcripts, but Richmond County court reporter says she had not received any status. It's going on about six weeks now since the email stating a judge was reviewing the matter was received. It's going on 13 years (THIRTEEN years) of Michael repeatedly formally requesting his trial transcripts.
I have paperwork to file a complaint with the Board of Court Reporters, but I want to make sure that I have an official denial in hand. Right now, I have nothing but excuses.
On another note, the prison has been on lockdown for about three weeks. Thank you to those who use "snail mail" US mail - Michael appreciates you. The Wifi is OFF so there is no email coming nor going. You will need to handwrite him until the lockdown is over.
In addition, I received outreach from another advocate describing corruption in Columbia County. Both Richmond and Columbia counties need a clean up. There is still a pattern, and race is irrelevant. Money is definitely the only factor that matters. The Feds should be able to track the paper trail if I can.
Thank you for your continued support! Please keep us in your prayers. The good fight continues. #exonerateMichael
