Michael received his food package this month. He literally emailed me that he was full.  And he had shared some items with other inmates. He has done this in the past. "Sharing is caring." Of course, his sister and I  are not always thrilled about the notion, but building allies can not hurt. It confirms Michael's character and why he never should have been sentenced to capital punishment for something that he didn't do.

As I watch all the protests internationally speaking, I am bittersweet. 

George Floyd (#georgefloyd) was "murdered" as a result of police brutality. However, Floyd's past conviction from a different state would be categorized as violent because of a weapon being involved.

 I know that this line of thinking is controversial, but the only reason why Michael's petition did not gain a hundred thousand signatures was because one news source printed "five time convicted felon" as a headline. Georgia likes stacking charges. Michael's charges were all non-violent. He served all his time. The charges were NOT five different cases like the headlines implied. In addition, the news source (WRDW) removed the original video where his now deceased father firmly told the world- "you have the wrong man! Michael would not do something like that to anyone."

As we all know that Michael told the truth. His father told everyone the truth. The DNA report tells the truth. The rape kit told the truth. The only liars are sitting on the benches in Augusta, Georgia.

If people Around The Globe can forgive the past of George Floyd and fight so hard for justice for him and his family,  I pray that people will find in their hearts to allow Michael to finish being a father to his son like the awesome Father that Michael had.

Father's Day was this month. It was difficult because such a great Dad died in June of 2015. He never stopped fighting for his son. I hope Uncle Henry Blocker understands that neither will I.
