At Smith State prison, I have been mistaken for Michael's mom, aunt, spouse, sister, and so on.  So I wanted to clarify that Mike's son, sister, nieces, nephews, friends, petition signers and acquaintances ALL back me.  He is truly a loved member of his family. All of his past and present counselors find him pleasant to speak with.

Sometimes people question the legitimacy of the fight for Michael's release because they only see me on social media but I assure you that I have wind beneath my wings.

As seen in the movie "Just Mercy" - corruption and coercion is real in the Justice system. In advocating for my cousin Michael, I have discovered how evil and wicked Augusta, GA politics can be as well as Asheville, NC surrounding my own rape case. The craziness that played out in the movie is real in the South.
