Today, the Pohlad family put out a tone-deaf statement regarding their ownership of the Minnesota Twins, claiming to be for the team and the fans. Unfortunately, their actions suggest otherwise, and they have consistently failed in their stewardship of our cherished team. From mishandling our post season winning team in 2023, to making poor television deal decisions and inflating ticket prices, the Pohlad's have dropped the ball at every opportunity. Prices for stadium food and beverages are exorbitant, alienating die-hard fans who long to enjoy the game without breaking their banks.

The Minnesota Twins are more than just a baseball team to us – they represent community, spirit, and legacy. Following the successful community-owned model of the Green Bay Packers, we propose to start a non-profit organization to buy the Minnesota Twins from the Pohlad family. This team deserves to be run by its fans, for its fans. By establishing community ownership, we can make ticket prices affordable, improve management decisions, and enhance stadium experiences with reasonably priced food and beverages.

Green Bay Packers have thrived under community ownership model, showcasing how effective and rewarding it can be for both the team and its supporters. Although I am loath to copy a Wisconsinite's success, I'll give credit where credit is due. Let us use this successful blueprint to return the Minnesota Twins to the hands of those who love them most: the fans. Our vision is clear – to make the Twins a team that prioritizes fans' needs, fosters community connection, and excels both on and off the field.
