The Escazú Agreement is a Regional Agreement on Access to Information, Public Participation and Justice in Environmental Matters in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Escazu Agreement provides a  a legal framework to ensure public participation in environmental decision-making, public access to environmental information and justice in environmental matters. It allows Community Service Organizations (CSO's) and Non Government Organizations (NGO's) to address community concerns about environmental matters and will ensure that governmental environmental agencies are compliant with regional and international mandates.   It also provides  a legal framework for environmental agencies to incorporate the work and input of CSOs and NGOs in the decision-making processes. It provides you the citizen with a voice in your country for all environmental matters.   Support us by signing the attached petition to have this agreement enacted here in St. Kitts & Nevis.
