The charity Sutton Night Watch utilized the space, turning the Secombe into a lifeline for those in need. This vital usage showcased the theatre as more than just a performance venue. The Secombe is an adaptable and essential facility that fosters the social wellbeing of our community and serves diverse needs beyond its original purpose.
Current redevelopment timelines suggest major works may not begin for several years. Therefore, it is entirely realistic to bring the building back into community use within the 5-year window required by the Localism Act This petition supports a formal nomination under the Localism Act 2011."
