Voice recording of Yalda Abolfazli, 19 years old:

“…in the last 19 years of my life, I had not been beaten as much as I have been beaten in the last 12 days in prison.  But I have chanted for women’s rights so loud that I have lost my voice, (On the recording that was done after she was released from prison, her voice is hoarse), I don’t have any regrets for standing up for my rights”.  She was beaten and raped multiple times in prison.  Sadly a few days after this recording, she took her own life. �
