Shark feeding is presented to the people as a safe and fun way to adventure . But In reality is nothing but a profitable way to disrupt Mother Nature and teach sharks to associate boats with food. Despite what shark advocates will tell you the shark population along Florida’s East coast is thriving. Shark feeding tourism is causing an ecological disaster costing the state millions of dollars. The economic impact of shark eaten fish surpasses the few dive boats profiting from the feedings. These people have proven their incapability to maintain the safety of those in the water time and time again. Shark feeding is banned in state water so why has it not been banned in federal? Let’s bring this to the attention of NOAA and our government, as well as FWC and get them to ban this unsafe and harmful touristic practice.
