Warehouses are taking over our communities. We must stand together and save our communities and environment.
As of now, a proposed 1.4 million square foot warehouse located on Vestry road in South Harrison, directly adjacent to residential homes. Zoned agricultural/rural. NOT industrial. This Needs to be stopped.
This will bring thousands of 18 wheeler tractor-trailer trucks to our rural and residential roads, increase significant environmental, health and traffic threats. This project's adverse side effects include, but are not limited to, increased noise pollution, increased air pollution(significantly affecting children lung development), increased VOC emissions, increased light pollution, road-damaging truck traffic, destruction of habitat for sensitive species, and much more.

PUBLIC NOTICE PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that upon the application of Lineage Logistics Services, LLC (the "Applicant"), the Planning/Zoning Board of South Harrison Township (the "Board") shall conduct a public hearing on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, commencing at 6:30 P.M., at the South Harrison Township Municipal Building, 664 Harrisonville Road, Mullica Hill, New Jersey 08062, to consider an Application for "d-6" Height Variance Approval and Bulk Variance Approval, to allow for the use and future development of a cold storage build-to-suit facility (the "Cold Storage Facility") on land approximately 41.71 +/- acres in size, located along Vestry Road, and more particularly identified as Block 18, Lot 1.03 on the Official Tax Maps of the Township of South Harrison (the "Property"). The Property is located within the Agricultural/Residential "A-R" Zoning District. By way of brief background, on November 12, 2019 and memorialized in Resolution R-20-06, the Planning/Zoning Board of the Township of South Harrison (the "Board") previously granted Use Variance Approval in order to permit the use of an existing cold storage and warehouse facility on a 7+/- acre portion of the Property. Subsequently, on September 22, 2021, and as memorialized in Resolution No.: 2021-10, the Board granted Use Variance Approval, Minor Subdivision Approval, and Bulk Variance Approval, in order to subdivide a 10+/- acre lot containing the cold storage warehouse facility (Block 18, Lot 1) from the overall 89.8+/- acre overall tract. Use Variance Approval was required in order to permit the additional 3 acres of the proposed 10 acre parcel to be used for cold storage/warehouse operations. In addition, the Board previously granted Use Variance Approval to allow cold storage/warehouse facilities on the remaining 79.6+/- acre lot (now known as Block 18, Lots 1.03, and approximately 41.71+/- acres in size). At this time, the Applicant is requesting "d-6" Height Variance Approval to allow the future Cold Storage Facility to have a building height of 60+/- feet, when the maximum height permitted by Ordinance in the A-R Zone is 2.5 stories, or 35 feet. In addition, the Applicant is also requesting, if necessary, the following "c" or Bulk Variances: (1) to permit a building coverage of 21.9% where 10% is the maximum building coverage permitted by Ordinance; (2) to allow 356 parking spaces; (3) to permit parking spaces that are nine by eighteen feet in size; and (4) to permit one (1) freestanding monument sign and (1) building faade sign. At the same time, the Applicant will also be requesting that the Planning/Zoning Board grant any and all other submission and/or design waivers, variances, Ordinance interpretations and/or other relief that may be deemed necessary to permit the development and use of the Property as proposed by the Applicant. This Notice is submitted in accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Land Use Law. Any interested party may appear either in person or be represented by an attorney and present any objection to the granting of this application.
