There were more people attending than seats. I did not attend tonight's meeting. I had another meeting to attend. The feedback I received was that the development was held for 30 days upon the request of the developer who wanted additional time but said there would still be a warehouse and some retail would be added. The developer also said that he understands citizens do not want a warehouse. Regency Centers, the owner, develops upscale Shopping Centers but has decided not to. Since no one could speak about the above project, some speakers spoke about warehouses generally. A community person who is an Attorney said if they develop it, she will file a lawsuit. In South Wind all but 60 of their homes have been contacted. Those contacted do not want warehouses. They said they are talking to a developer about bringing retail and other development. It is interesting that the developers of Camp Creek did not think it would produce as it has. We have a lot of untapped potential for quality development. Councilwoman Gilyard
