The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) is currently proposing to increase the registration fee by 20%. We believe this fee rise is unjust, will cause additional financial hardship to already struggling, hard working professionals working in the health service. It is opposed by the majority of HCPC registrants, including those who are members of Unite the union.

If this fee rise is implemented, it will mean that since 2015, HCPC fees will have increased by 30%, whilst pay has stagnated and the cost of living has significantly increased.

We call on the HCPC to reconsider. 

(N.B. The HCPC regulates over 280,000 health care professionals, across 15 professions in the UK, who are required to pay this fee before they can practice.)
