The Issue

A Developer, "Moss Construction" is trying to re-zone the residential plot of 4804-4808 Spring Forest Road into a commercial development area of approximately 4 acres.

We, the undersigned, do not believe that this is in the public interest, community interest, or economic interest of our Community. After multiple meetings and discussions with the Community, representatives of the Developer, and the City, we conclude that anything commercial on this 4 acre plot would not serve our Community. The Developer refuses to state his plans for that plot, and will not rule out seeking a fast food establishment, gas station, or a whole host of other items that would negatively impact many quality of life issues in our area.

Despite the Developer arguing that this fits the "Master Plan" for the area, We, the Undersigned believe that plans should be amended based on economic conditions, community input, and community needs. There is a plethora of unused commercial space in the area, and taking a residential spot and re-zoning it into something that the Community believes will be detrimental is not in our interest, even though this scheme may serve the Developer's financial objectives.

We the Undersigned believe that this plot remaining zoned Residential R-1 is critical for our community.

We respectfully demand that the City Council DENY the request to rezone this area.

Say NO to re-zoning 4804-4808 Spring Forest Road from Residential to Mixed Use Commercial!
