I figured the item in the picture will be of interest to more than a few of you. Tauranga City Council staff are proposing to spend just under half a million dollars upon a signalised pedestrian crossing on Welcome Bay Rd, between Awanui Pl & Waikare Pl. There appears to have been no consultation whatsoever with nearby residents, and this will likely be the first that most of you have heard of it. I have still heard nothing regarding the promised community consultation upon the HOV lane/Kaitemako Rd lights, but will send details as soon as I do. Please continue to share the petition, & remind others of the importance of signing, rather than just agreeing.
