Dear Supporters Thank you for all the comments and concerns you submitted to Turley’s during the first round of consultation. Please do keep a copy of your letter if you have one, it may be useful at the final planning stage. NOPi sent a full response on behalf of all those in the Community, and wider, that we are representing. Turley’s certainly have plenty to read and digest! Apologies that we have been a bit quiet since the consultation closed. Due to the very large number of supporters now on our mailing list it has caused us a problem sending emails from our normal email account, so we have had to move to using Mail Chimp service. The email nopiinstdavids@outlook.com can still be used if you need to contact us, but our update emails will now come via Mail Chimp. Please check that these don’t go into your Spam or Junk folder as you may miss essential updates from us! So what happens next? 1. The applicants will review all the feedback and decide if they wish to make any changes to the proposals (they can take as long as they wish to do this), before they submit their full application to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority (PCNPA). 2. Once the full application has been submitted to PCNPA and the formal notice on the application has been issued, ‘we’ and any interested parties have just 21 days to make our final comments on the proposal. 3. This time your comments will go directly to the ‘decision makers’ in PCNPA. 4. Whilst the first consultation was important – this final stage is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT 5. As soon as we have been notified that the application has been submitted and we can review the documents, we will let you know what you need to do to make your comments count. 6. At this full planning stage there are only certain things called ‘Material Considerations’ that the Planning Committee will take into account. We will let you know what these are, so you can ensure that your letters and comments count. 7. After the 21-days, PCNPA Planning Officers will review all the comments in conjunction with the planning application details. They will put together a report that will either recommend the application be approved or be rejected. 8. The Planning Officers report, along with all the comments people have made will be considered by the Planning Committee consisting of 18 Committee Members. They will make the final decision whether to approve or reject the application. 9. If the Planning Committee APPROVE the application, that’s it, we have no right to appeal, the development can go ahead. 10. If the Planning Committee REJECT the application, the applicants can appeal, and the development will go to a Public Inquiry. SO, THIS NEXT AND FINAL STAGE OF CONSULATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT. IT’S OUR LAST CHANCE. We will be in touch as soon as we have any news on the application. But be ready, we won’t have long to respond – Just 21-days!
