The Provincial Government of Ontario has implemented a new mandate that states that all students in Grades 9/10 are to complete a minimum of two E-Learning Courses in order to graduate and receive their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. For nearly three years, students have already been forced to endure/adapt to the matters of Online Learning. This has taken a drastic toll on both the mental and physical health of students within Ontario. Furthermore, they have already gained sufficient knowledge in regards to the use of online platforms.

Not only has Online Learning increased the number of students facing severe cases of anxiety, depression, etc, but the inability to successfully learn Ontario's school curriculum. In addition, e-learning severes a variety of learning skills, crucial for the development of students/youth. For instance, various studies have shown that online school has become a major component in deteriorating the social skills of students. As for students' physical health, Online Learning has reinforced and influenced the disregard of outdoor/physical activity and extracurriculars. Furthermore, case studies have shown "more back problems and eye strain or dry eyes" [BMC] in terms of health concerns. 

We humbly ask that you sign this petition to make a change and reverse this new mandatory mandate that will further come to harm students.
