We are ecstatic that today, Global Menstrual Hygiene Day, the Canadian government has amended the budget to remove sales tax from menstrual hygiene products. As of July 1st, pads, tampons, menstrual cups, and other essential items will be more affordable for people with their periods. It's breaking news across the country: http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/federal-government-taking-the-tax-off-tampons-and-other-feminine-hygiene-products-effective-july-1 http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/tampon-tax-will-end-july-1-1.3091533 http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2015/05/28/tampon-tax-canada_n_7462582.html Read the amendment to the budget here: http://www.fin.gc.ca/drleg-apl/2015/nwmm-amvm-0515-eng.asp Thank you so much for all your hard work and support.
