It could be! Though we hope that the government will remove the tax NOW there is an important initiative taking place calling the federal party leaders to agree to participate a debate dedicated to women's issues in this country — the first of it's kind in 30 years. The Up For Debate campaign (http://upfordebate.ca/) is an alliance of over 175 women’s organizations and their allies from across Canada, representing more than 4 million people. They are united in raising awareness about women’s rights in the lead up to the 2015 federal election. Up For Debate calls on all political parties to make meaningful commitments to change women’s lives for the better, at home and abroad by: Ending violence against women; Ending women’s economic inequality; Supporting women’s leadership and organizations. We are asking you to join the Up For Debate campaign and call on our leaders to step up and talk about access to affordable menstruation products. Regardless of who wins on election day, we want to make sure that the tax on these essential products is REMOVED. Sign the Up For Debate petition here: http://upfordebate.ca/ Together we can make these important issues a priority!
