The Scioto County Commissioners announced on January 7th 2026, a proposed Data Center coming to Franklin Furnace. The commissioners want to approve a tax abatement of 75%  for 15 years for the owners of this data center. 
If you are opposed to a Data Center in Scioto County, and don’t think Big Tech should get a 75% discount on their taxes, I encourage you to sign this petition. 
I am collecting signatures now (1-8-2026) until January 21st. 2026 to present to the   commissioners before they  vote on this issue on January 22nd. 
When asked how they would vote for this tax incentive, all 3 commissioners said it would be a “Yes” from them unless something “significant” changed between now and the 22nd. 
Let’s get a siginificant amount of signatures to show the commissioners we don’t approve.
