No state visit for Donald Trump
The Issue
Donald Trump should not be invited to the UK for an official state visit and be a guest of honour of the Queen. His Executive Order for a travel ban on people travelling to the United States from mainly-Muslim countries is incompatible with British values. So our Head of State should not host him or indulge him.
His rushed and ill-judged Executive Order means that migrants or visitors from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen are banned from entering the USA for 90 days.
This led to fears that one of Britain's sporting heroes Sir Mo Farah would not be allowed to return to his family home in Portland, Oregon because he is of Somali origin.
Mo Farah said over the weekend: "On 1 January Her Majesty The Queen made me a knight of the realm. On 27 January, President Donald Trump seemed to make me an alien."
Thankfully, Sir Mo's position has been clarified and he will be able to return home as he holds a UK passport. But Mo called Trump's policy "divisive and discriminatory".
Join me and thousands of others in repeating calls to Prime Minister Theresa May to not pander to Trump by giving him the status of a state visit. He should not meet and cause embarrassment to The Queen.

As print, production and postage is involved there is usually a charge of £1 per letter (you buy their tokens when you register or pay by PayPal or credit card at the end), however the first 100 letters are free!
