I am making this petition because I believe students in the Irvine Unified School District should not have school the day after Halloween. First of all, most students end up not going to school the next day anyways because they are too tired to attend. Students stay up late the night of Halloween and don’t perform well in school the next day. Second, the school loses money when students miss school, therefore, we shouldn’t have school on Friday because this is not good for the school. This change will impact the students and their health by giving them time to rest and perform better on Monday without having to miss school.
