No school on Nov 1st (day after Halloween)

No school on Nov 1st (day after Halloween)

The Issue

Every year, Halloween is celebrated on October 31st. This joyful celebration often runs into the late hours, leading to lack of sleep and fatigue for students. Thus, it is proposed that schools should be cancelled on November 1st to allow students sufficient time to rest and rejuvenate. According to the statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sleep deprivation in school-age children can lead to problems with attention, behavior, learning, and overall mental and physical health. Comprehension and performance can be significantly improved following a good night's sleep. By granting a day off after Halloween, we enhance the educational wellness of our students. Rested students are more focused, attentive, and productive. Sign this petition to support the cancellation of school on November 1st for the well-being of our students.
Also, Blue valley is signing one as well and we want to be the better school district so sign this one faster.
