📣 Pittsburgh deserves ENFORCEABLE Community Benefits — not empty promises.

Right now, our city often accepts “Community Benefits Plans,” but a plan is NOT a contract. It’s not enforceable. It doesn’t guarantee jobs, housing, or investment. And too many neighborhoods have been left with broken promises.

Other cities attach Community Benefits Agreements (CBAs) to permits, zoning approvals, and public subsidies.  
Pittsburgh should too.

If a developer receives public dollars, the public deserves guaranteed benefits in return — not optional commitments.

This is about fairness.  
This is about accountability.  
This is about protecting our neighborhoods.

We’re calling on the City of Pittsburgh to enforce Community Benefits the same way other cities already do. Make them binding. Make them real. Our communities deserve nothing less.
