No park-and-ride on the Thamesside
30 Aug 2014
Hello all Following the success of our information stall last weekend we have organised a second session to raise awareness of plans to put a park-and-ride and road by the Thames. Last week, many walkers and shoppers were horrified to hear that plans to put a park-and-ride by the Thamesside and a new road over Kennet Mouth are moving forwards. They shared our concern about the impact that this would have on the area and were only too happy to sign our petition. They also agreed that putting a second level on the Winnersh one, once it has been moved out of the floodplain, made far more sense. We plan to have a second information stall and leafleting session to get this message out to as many people as possible. When: Saturday, September 6, 11 AM to 1 PM Where: meeting at the bottom of Cholmeley Road and then heading to Kennet Mouth (where the River Kennet joins the River Thames) Let us know if you can make this to help us plan the session, but don’t feel you have to do whole session, just popping along for 15 minutes would still help us make a difference. Best wishes Rob White and the team
