The new development is going to happen.  We lost a lot of battles at the Planning Commission, but one worth fighting for is protecting our school and our children. GK Chesterton (who I named one of my sons at Cary Woods Elementary after) said “to have a right to do a thing is not at all the same as to be right in doing it.”  That is the motto for this drive. 

Cary Woods Elementary School is a sacred place to my family, and countless families.  Allowing convenience to a new development that jeopardizes the safety of every child and the generations to come to enjoy a safe drop-off, pick-up, walk and bike ride is counter-intuitive. You can’t promote safety by jeopardizing it!  

We, the undersigned, propose the Sanders outlet be abandoned and that a second outlet be placed on the stub-out and come south on College making this new development self-contained on College. 

I am asking those that agree do three things: (1) Sign the petition. I will use these to make our case as a community as I advocate to stakeholders.  (2) Call and email your support for this proposal.  (3) share this link with any and all Auburn residents willing to sign.
