Save Orange Hills: Public Action Needed on Orange Heights Development
The Irvine Company is currently revising the Orange Heights development project and conducting a new environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).

As part of this process, a Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) will be prepared to evaluate the project’s environmental impacts, including issues like:

Wildfire risk
Traffic impacts
Wildlife habitat loss
Barriers to wildlife connectivity
Impacts to rare and threatened species
Destruction of culturally sensitive sites, including a prehistoric Native American village site

Public Scoping Meeting Details
The City of Orange, acting as the lead agency, is hosting a public scoping meeting to gather community input on what environmental concerns must be addressed in the SEIR.

Date: May 5, 2026

Time: 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Location: Orange Public Library & History Center

Important:
There will be no formal Q&A
This meeting is for submitting comments and concerns
Public input can help broaden the environmental review and push for stronger analysis
