

Santiago Creek Earth Month Cleanup with We Explore Earth @ Grijalva Park

Grab the whole family and join us to remove urban waste from a wild segment of Santiago Creek in the City of Orange. We will have the opportunity to identify uniquely adapted plants and wildlife, learn about the watershed ecology and hear fascinating stories about the creek’s cultural history.
This event is a collaboration between Naturalist for You, Santiago Creek Greenway Alliance, Orange Sustainability Group and We Explore Earth.

Follow community scientist and conservation photographer Krystle Hickman of Beesip (@beesip) along the Horseshoe Loop Trail towards the edge of the 400-acre wildlife corridor and Native American village site in California’s oldest regional park. Learn techniques on how to observe, identify, and photo-document the incredible diversity of native bees using iNaturalist.
We will also be celebrating the release of Krystle’s new book, The ABCs of California’s Native Bees!
