Tarantula Trek @ Black Star Canyon

Join Barefoot Joel on a search for tarantulas and other night creatures, including scorpions, trapdoor spiders, glowworms, toads, frogs, owls, bats, poorwills, woodrats, deer, foxes and snakes. See scorpions glow under ultraviolet lights!  Fun for the whole family! Enjoy the night air, peaceful atmosphere, starry skies and chances of encountering nocturnal wildlife. Stop frequently to listen, look, feel and even smell for various forms of wildlife evidence. Search for burrows, nests, tracks, scat (droppings), feathers, fur and eye shine. One of the highlights of this journey is the opportunity to relax in total darkness and silence for roughly 5 minutes at the turnaround point. Even though we cannot guarantee wildlife encounters, we'll have fun exploring together!
