Why this petition matters

Started by JoAnn Erwin

My name is JoAnn Erwin. I am a former prison nurse at LSCC, a state facility in Sandy Hook, KY, which is in Elliott County. Judge Rebecca Phillips violated my 'Constitutional Right' to receive a fair and impartial trial by jury when she dismissed my case from the Elliott County Court Docket. This happened on November 28, 2021. Judge Rebecca Phillips dismissed my case from the Elliott County Court Docket without giving an explanation for doing so. She unlawfully appointed herself as my 'jury'. She has kept my case tied up in her court room for eight years. She is also refusing to make her order of November 28, 2021, final, which would allow me to file an appeal to have my case heard by the KY Court of Appeals. I am seeking justice and accountability in my case. I have requested help from Rocky Adkins and KY Governor, Andy Beshear. They have totally ignored my requests asking for an investigation and accountability into the relationship that exists between Judge Phillips and the KY DOC. The KY State Judicial System needs to be examined and the process made fair for all citizens of the Commonwealth. Not just citizens that have money or power or in my case, elected officials that feel they are above the law and do whatever they want to do.

I am asking you, the public, to sign my petition and help me in my continued fight for justice and accountability. Without your support, I will never have justice and closure in my case. Together, we can make a difference when we demand our laws be upheld. No one, including a Circuit Court Judge, should be above the law. Thank you for your help and support!
