We bring to your attention a serious concern about a proposed 73-unit high-density development at 9407 Jericho Road, La Mesa, which will sit adjacent to a single-family neighborhood. This development, comprising three stories, starkly contrasts with the character of our cherished neighborhood and necessitates a contentious zoning change from R1 to R3. As residents of this neighborhood, we are not opposed to development - in fact, we welcome smart, compatible, and reasonable development that respects local character, and the welfare of the citizens of our community.  However, the proposed project poses substantial and adverse impacts on our community, potentially leading to traffic congestion, strain on local infrastructure, and lower property values.
