No Need to Kill (Save the Blackglen Deer) - Choose Non-Lethal Population Control

The Issue

It is possible that some of the Blackglen deer may be culled (according to reliable intel). It does not appear that plans are yet official but they may proceed in the near future.

This petition is calling that non-lethal means (e.g., neutering and contraceptive program) be used to control the deer population and other humane steps be taken instead of culling, if population control efforts are to take place. This petition understands the difference between putting a deer down who is in pain and indiscriminate killing. We strongly oppose the latter and believe that non-lethal means be used.

Please sign this petition to make it clear to the local authorities and relevant organisations that you are against the culling of the Blackglen deer.

Again, we are not suggesting that no action be taken but that efforts be made to prevent culling (i.e., non-lethal actions).
