Our Municipal Park, an essential green space in our urbanized environment, is under threat due to the proposed expansion of the tennis center. This park is a crucial habitat for local wildlife, a serene refuge for residents to escape the hustle of city life, and a public space for community engagement and recreation. The proposed expansion would reduce green space by 20%, disrupting local ecosystems and decreasing overall park accessibility for non-tennis playing citizens. This prioritization of tennis facilities over community green space is not consistent with the original intent of our Municipal Park, which was designed for everyone's enjoyment.
