We call for the immediate resignation of Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem based on a documented pattern of constitutional disregard, culminating in a fatal ICE incident.

1. January 7th, 2026 — Minneapolis, Minnesota

During a federal immigration enforcement operation, an ICE agent fatally shot a civilian. This incident occurred under policies and operational directives issued during Secretary Noem’s tenure. The loss of civilian life during a domestic enforcement action represents a profound failure of leadership, oversight, and constitutional restraint. The Secretary’s public response—issued prior to the completion of an independent investigation—has further undermined public trust.

2. January 24th, 2025 - Minneapolis, Minnesota

During a federal immigration enforcement operation, an ICE agent brutally and intentionally murdered a US citizen who was assisting 2 women affected by tear gas set off in front of a crowd of protestors. Alex Pretti was an RN and had a permit to carry license. 6 ICE agents tackled Alex to the ground, deweaponized him, and fired 9 bullets into Alex who was not resisting. Multiple videos show the truth and horror behind this cold blooded murder. 

3. Misrepresentation of Constitutional Protections

Secretary Noem has publicly demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding of habeas corpus and due process, incorrectly framing constitutional safeguards as tools of executive removal authority. Such statements are incompatible with the role of a Cabinet official entrusted with domestic security and civil liberties.

3. Politicization and Abuse of Federal Authority

Her tenure has been marked by credible allegations of politicizing DHS operations, misuse of taxpayer resources, and actions that blur the legally mandated separation between law enforcement and partisan agendas.

4. Escalation-First Enforcement Strategy

Large-scale, militarized immigration operations under her leadership have increased community fear, strained local-federal relations, and raised serious concerns about proportionality, necessity, and constitutional compliance.

The Secretary of Homeland Security is obligated to protect the nation without violating the Constitution it is built upon. Secretary Noem has failed to meet that obligation.

We demand her immediate resignation or formal congressional action to remove her from office. She needs to be indicted, tried for murder, and sentenced with the death penalty.
