I’m so thankful for this beautiful and heart-wrenching documentary about the Santa Susana Field Lab (SSFL) that I was able to be part of. Working as a cleanup advocate for one of America’s worst nuclear meltdowns, I’ve been busy. Intentionally so. I don’t like to stop. When I do I remember the pain from the two times my daughter fought cancer. I feel the enormity of what we’re doing. I see the obstacles we face.
This documentary made me stop and feel and remember… it also renewed my hope.
You’ll meet some of my mentors and heroes who have been fighting for the cleanup for thirty years and some of the local impacted families, including my dear friend Lauren Hammersely whose daughter Hazel passed away three years ago this month.
Please watch through one of the film festivals where it’s being shown and please share the info with everyone you know! It will help us get the SSFL cleanup and it will also help families across America who are also battling for cleanups near their homes:
