No more cats condemned to die of starvation in Pilar de la Horadada!

The new Mayor, D. Ignacio Ramos García and the Councilor for Health, Dña. María Teresa Valero Curbera, of the current government, have revoked the feeding permits granted since 2011 by the previous government to volunteers of local animal charities, stating that it now PROHIBITS the feeding of stray cats.

Please, help us with your signature to denounce this situation.
Since 2011 volunteers from Animal Protection Charities of Pilar de la Horadada have had special cats feeding permits, awarded and stamped by the Town Council, authorizing them to feed and take care of feline colonies, established in controlled areas where stray cats are fed and subsequently neutered using the CES / TNR method (Catch-sterilized-release / Trap-Neuter-Return) in order for the cats to remain healthy, and at the same time controlling the feline overpopulation.

Such activities have been carried out by responsible persons whose permits were issued and authorized with the municipal stamp, thus achieving a notable descent of unwanted litters.

Cat colonies are not a source of disease; in contrast, urban cats fulfill a social function.

We call on all supporters of animal rights and justice; we urge you to sign this petition, demanding the Town Council of Pilar de la Horadada to reverse their decision, and reinstate the feeding permits, so that the cats do not starve to death.
